These workshops are designed to introduce students to higher education and specifically the study of drama/theatre within higher education. The workshop for Year 12/13 students also provides participants with advice and guidance about the audition and interview process at Central. Workshops are offered free of charge to our students.
Why?
Biddenham has identified that one of the barriers to applying for Drama School courses, and similar courses at other specialist institutions, is a lack of knowledge and experience of auditions and interviews. An additional barrier surrounds the costs associated with attending these and other events. The Higher Education Audition/Interview Workshops have therefore been devised to give students an insight to the process and to help demystify the experience.
This will take place in the drama studio on Wednesday 7th December Friday 25th November 2011, from 11am - 2:30pm.
Students will come to school as normal in smart, casual clothes suitable for a theatre workshop. They will attend lessons in the morning (period 1-4) and then attend period 5, the workshop will continue to period 6. Students must meet in the drama studio to register. The workshop will finish at 4pm.
