This is a very friendly and supportive department which encourages and challenges students to exceed their expectations. Students work in a challenging and creative environment where they are encouraged to problem solve and develop the confidence to face the challenges of today’s technological world.
In 2011 our students continued to improve in their GCSE grades with 58.8% gaining A – C grades.
Information About the Department
The department is well equipped with 3 multimedia workshops and one dedicated design room and one dedicated graphics suite. The students have access to 36 computers in the graphics and design rooms and are encouraged to develop their CADCAM skills. The department also has computer manufacturing for both graphics and resistant materials.
The department supports students with after school clubs designed ensure they maintain progress and enjoyment in their coursework.
The department has been successful in the Bedford Schools' Grand Prix and has competed in the Greenpower Challenge at Goodwood.
