Headline Information
GCSE results were very good this year with 70% of students achieving A*-C grades. History continues to be one of the highest achieving departments in the school with nearly half of students achieving A*-B grade.
Our A2 students performed well with nearly all students achieving their target grade or higher. In national comparisons our department has been judged as Very Good putting us in the top 17% of schools.

The History department offers:

- extra-curricular opportunities such as debating competitions, student lectures and residential field trips abroad.

- close links with other Bedford schools and University of Cambridge.
