Headline Information

Our 2011 GCSE English results represented the best value-added point score ever for the department. As part of those results, over 15% of our students were awarded with either an A* or an A grade, which was another record for the department.
Over 70% of the students that took GCSE English Literature in 2011 achieved A* - C grades. This was an improvement on last year and the results were the best ever for the department.
AS English Literature results in 2011 were very strong, which was represented by our positive ALPS score; we were awarded a grade 3, which places us in the top 75% nationally. One of our students even scored 100% in the exam! At A2 level, we achieved a 100% pass rate.
